Mary and the Locks
What sounds like a fabulous female band name is actually a one-woman show: Marianne Lock, a jack-of-all-trades type of artist, is the sole creator behind Mary and the Locks. She can illustrate, animate, art direct, sew, build – and this love of the analogue life clearly shines through each artwork. A graduate of the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam, she has spent the past years working freelance, doing what she loves most for clients like H&M, Levi’s and the International Film Festival Rotterdam.
